How do i fix a wooden door which is split at the screwed hinges?

when the hinge screw holes get enlarged to where its no longer possible to hold the hinge tight its time to remove the hinge redrill holes to wooden dowell size ,use carpenters glue and tap in dowells ..let set till hardened cut dowells flush rehang hinge and door ........also if you dont have any wooden dowells ive made it work with using a pencil for a dowell....
