Should I go to the ER or wait?

I have had chest pain and felt plain yucky for about two weeks and i went to the doctor and he said it was a virus and it would p on its own well Wednesday my legs got really achy and i felt like i was getting the flu so i called the doctor on call and my doctor was on call and he still said it was a virus and there was no need to go to the ER but yesterday i felt a little congested in my throat and i felt short of breathe and then last night i felt funny like i just felt horrible and i thought i was going to die so i called my aunt who is an RN and she said it sounded like a Flu virus to her and they couldn't do anything for me at the ER so today my throat is really raw and i feel horrible and lightheaded i have allergies and sinus problems also i'm a 19 year old female and weigh about 187 and in good health as I know but i'm getting worried this is more than a virus, i also have no appetite at all and have not ate anything big in like three days just haven't feel like it i have been snacking here and there and have been sipping gatorade to keep hydrated but i feel horrible and need answers cause my doctor isn't going to help...
