XBOX 360 ELITE WARRANTY ??????/ HELP PLEASE?

im buying a xbox elite tomorrow morning and i've been hearing that all xbox consoles now have 3 year warranties cause all the problems wit rrod-- the gamestop by my house is like 8 months old (brand new store)-- would they most likely have the newer elites wit the falcon chip or do they get older elites from sister stores or something . i would think new store, new merchandise right??? help wit these issues please thx.
