How to work out the concentration of a solution?

If you know the number of moles and the volume you can calculate concentration in molarity. Divide the moles by the volume (in liters) to get your answer. If you have the number of grams and not moles, divide the # grams by the atomic wt or molar m to convert to moles, then divide that by the volume (in liters) to get molarity.
